VCC magiging dry run para sa men’s worlds

Russell Cadayona - Pang-masa

MANILA, Philippines — Ang FIVB Volleyball Challenger Cup (VCC) for Women ay hindi lamang magbibigay sa Alas Pilipinas ng pagkakataong magpalakas sa isang “one miss and you’re out” tournament kundi magiging dry run competition para sa solo hosting ng bansa sa FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship 2025.

Sasalang sa men’s world championship ang top 32 nations, kasama ang host country na Pilipinas, sa event na nakatakda sa Setyembre 12 hanggang 28 sa 2025.

“We’re down to 14 months to go and at the rate we’re going, we look forward to aiming for a well-hosted world championship in 2025,” ani Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) president Ramon “Tats” Suzara.

Pinasalamatan din ni Suzara ang FIVB sa pagpuri sa matagumpay na hosting ng PNVF sa Volleyball Nations League (VNL) Men’s Week 3 kamakailan sa SM Mall of Asia Arena.

“The Philippine’s love for volleyball was clear, setting the stage for the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship 2025,” ani ng FIVB sa kanilang official website.

“The Volleyball Nations League (VNL) Men’s pool in Manila … attracted a massive turnout of 45,886 fans eager to witness world-class volleyball, an exciting sign of what is to come for the upcoming FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship 2025 in the country.”

Samantala, pormal namang hahataw bukas ang 2024 FIVB Volleyball Challenger Cup (VCC) for Women sa Ninoy Aquino Stadium sa Malate, Manila.
