Petisyon nina Aranas ibinasura
MANILA, Philippines — Ibinasura ng POC election committee, pinamumunuan ni Atty. Teodoro Kalaw, ang isinampang disqualification petitions ni POC presidential candidate Atty. Clint Aranas ng archery na isang malaking tagumpay para kay Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) incumbent president Abraham ‘Balbol’ Tolentino ng cycling kasama ang ilan sa mga katiket nito.
“Accordingly, the Certified List of Candidates for the 2020 POC regular term elections as issued last October 31, 2020 is now deemed final,” pahayag ng election committee na binubuo nina Kalaw, University of the Philippines president Danilo Concepcion at dating International Olympic Committee (IOC) representative Frank Elizalde. “All other requests for relief not otherwise disposed of above are hereby denied,”
Pinadidiskuwalipika ni Aranas sa POC elections na idaraos sa Nobyembre 27, sina Tolentino, Tom Carrasco ng triathlon, Cynthia Carrion-Norton ng gymnastics, Dave Carter ng judo at Dr. Jose Raul Canlas ng surfing dahil sa iba’t ibang isyu.
