Road To The National ESports 3rd leg tutulak sa Cagayan De Oro sa Aug. 25
MANILA, Philippines — Dadalhin ang third stage ng Road To The Nationals ESports event sa Cagayan de Oro sa Agosto 25 sa layuning maitaas ang husay ng mga players na maaaring kumatawan sa bansa sa mga international meets.
Idinaos ang unang dalawang edisyon ng Road To The Nationals sa Morayta, Manila at Cebu, ayon sa pagkakasunod at magpapatuloy ang pagdiskubre sa mga e-gamers.
Ang The Nationals, binuo para sa mga egaming aficionados — TNC Pro Team, HappyFeet eSports, BrenPro Inc., Cignal TV Inc, PLDT/Smart Communications, at STI Education Systems — ay kabibilangan ng anim na koponan kung saan ang mga players ay lalahok sa Road To The Nationals, ilang serye ng esports tournament na gagawin sa buong bansa.
Hangarin ng event na makabuo ng grupo ng mga players na maaaring lumaban sa mga international meets.
Naniniwala si Philippine Olympic Committee president Ricky Vargas na ang Esports ay ang hinaharap ng Philippine Sports.
“They (IOC) had a one day session talking about esports. It was attended by the president of the IOC. The global group heading the international sports is Mr. (Patrick) Baumann, se-cretary general of the International Basketball Federation. On the POC side, I’m happy because the Philippines has formalized esports and an NSA has been created for esports because eventual-ly we see the esports as the sports of the future. You cannot turn around anymore, but you have to bring it to the games. In the Asian Games, it’s going to be a demonstration sports. Hopefully, if we are able to get an NSA, be recognized and represent the Philippines, then we should consider esports in the Southeast Asian Games,” wika ni Vargas.
Sa The Road To The Nationals, ang mga kalahok ay maglalaro ng egames anuman sa PC, mobile o console.
Kabilang sa mga games ay ang DOTA 2 para sa PC, Mobile Legends para sa mobile at NBA2K19 para sa console.
Ang ESports National Association of the Phi-lippines (ESNAP) ay gumawa ng hakbang para kilalanin ng POC bilang official national sports association ng ESports.
