Prima Pasta Badminton C’ships hahataw na ngayon

MANILA, Philippines - Asam, ni defending champion at national player Michael Kevin Cudiamat ang back-to-back men’s open title sa paghataw ng 10th Prima Pasta Badminton Championship ngayong linggo sa Powersmash Badminton Courts sa Pasong Tamo, Makati City.     

 Mapapasabak si Cudiamat, kilala sa kanyang malalakas na serves at tibay, sa mahuhusay ding badminton players mula sa iba’t ibang dako ng bansa sa annual tournament na inorganisa ng Prima Pasta sa ilalim ni Chairman Alex Lim. 

 “For this upcoming Prima Pasta tourney, I’m determined to defend my men’s singles title, but I’m sure it won’t be easy,” sabi ng dating Far Eastern University player  na si Cudiamat. “I trained very hard for this tournament so I’m confident of my chances.”

 Ang iba pang national players na lalaban ay sina Ross Leenard Pedrosa, Frell Keeyan Gabuelo at Solomon Padiz na inaasahang magbibigay ng magandang laban sa torneong gagawin ngayong February 23-26 at March 4-5.

 Sa women’s open singles division, nais ding ipagtanggol ni reigning champion Sarah Joy Barredo ang kanyang titulo laban sa kanyang mga kapwa national players na sina Airah Mae Nicole Albo, Jellene Geviane De Vera and Mariya Anghela Canlas Sevilla at iba pa sa torneong suportado ng Babolat and SMART Communications through MVP Sports Foundation.

Mayroon ding Men’s Doubles at Mixed Doubles sa Open class hanggang Levels A to G, habang may Open Class at Levels B to F sa  Wo-men’s Doubles.

Mahigit 2,000 participants  mula sa iba’t ibang lungsod at probinsiya ang maglalaro sa torneong inorganisa ni committee chairman Alexander Lim sa pakikipagtulungan sa Philippine Badminton Association (PBA) at sa Philippine National Ranking System (PNRS).
