Hindi lang jab ang pamatay ni Algieri kay Pacquiao

MANILA, Philippines – Hindi ang kanyang ma­bigat na jab ang mag­pa­panalo kay American challenger Chris Algieri kon­tra kay bo­xing superstar Manny Pacquiao.

Ito ay taliwas sa naunang pahayag ni Freddie Roach, ang chief trainer ni Pacquiao, hinggil sa pa­matay na jab ni Algieri.

“My ability to adjust and find a way to win, which is an intangible, I know,” sabi ni Algieri sa pa­nayam ng FightHype.com.

“A lot of people, like you said and Freddie said, think about the jab and whatnot. I don’t think that’s my best asset. I think my best asset is being able to adjust in a fight; adjusting to any situation and fin­ding a way to win.”

Hahamunin ni Algie­ri si Pacquiao para sa su­ot nitong WBO welterweight crown sa Nobyembre 22 sa The Venetian sa Macau, China.

Kamakalawa ay ini­ha­yag ng WBO ang pag­tatanggal kay Algieri ng kanyang light welter­weight belt dahil sa pag­ha­hamon sa welterweight title ni Pacquiao.

Marami ang nagsasa­bing kaya ng 5-foot-6 na si Pacquiao na pabagsakin ang 5’10 na si Algieri.

“I’ve fought every style you can think of and I fought tough guys. If you look at the numbers of all the guys I fought, I never had those building guys. I was in fights. I’ve been in fights since my pro debut,” sabi ng 30-anyos na si Algieri.
