Pagkakasuspindi ng laro kontra Generika-Army, pumabor sa AirAsia

MANILA, Philippines - May magandang ma­i-bu­bu­nga ang pagkakansela sa laro ng baguhang AirAsia at top seed Generika-Army sa 2014 Philippine Superliga All Filipino conference kahapon.

Habang ikinalungkot ng AirAsia management ang  pananalasa ng bagyong “Glen­da”,  ang kanselasyon ng kanilang laro ang magbibigay naman kay AirAsia head coach Ramil de Jesus ng sapat na panahon para makaisip ng estratehiya kung paano tatalunin ang Generika-Army team na nagbabandera ng mga ve­teran players.

“This is our maiden stint in the league and we want to leave an impression that despite having a young team, we can make an impact to the league,” wika ni AirAsia Erick Arejola.

Pinamumunuan nina dating La Salle aces Aby Maraño, Stephanie Mercado at Michelle Gumabao, tinalo ng Flying Spi­kers ang V-League cham­pion Cagayan Valley via five-set win, 16-25, 16-25, 25-16, 25-17, 15-13, noong Linggo para makumpleto ang semis cast.
