Pasado na kay Juico ang athletics team

NAY PYI TAW – Hindi pa natatapos ang athletics competition ng 27th Southeast Asian Games, ngunit nagbigay na si athletics team manager Philip Ella Juico ng passing mark sa kanyang mga atleta.

Sinabi ni Juico, ang dating chairman ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), na namangha siya sa ipinakita ng kanyang mga atleta sa track and field events na idinadaos sa Wunna Theikdi Sports Complex.

“I am very happy with the performance of the athletes. They are showing that they have the heart and the ability to compete with our neighbors,” wika kahapon ni Juico.

Sa kasalukuyan, nakahakot na ang mga Filipino track and field athletes ng 4 gold, 3 silver at 3 bronze medals para manatili sa kanilang puntiryang five-gold medal mark.

Binanderahan ni Beijing Olympics veteran Henry Dagmil ang kampanya ng bansa sa men’s long jump, habang nanaig din sina Filipino-American Eric Cray at Archand Christian Bagsit sa men’s 400m hurdles at men’s 400m.

At bago matapos ang kompetisyon kahapon ay nag-ambag si Christopher Ulboc ng gold medal sa men’s 3000m steeplechase, samantalang may inaasahan pa kay decathlete Jesson Ramil Cid.

Muling tatarget ng ginto si Cray sa men’s 110m hurdles kagaya ng apatan nina Bagsit, Alejan, Isidro del Prado Jr. at Julius Nierras sa 4x400m relay.
