BANGKOK, Thailand — Pinamunuan ni Behrouz Mohammad ‘Madi’ Mojdeh ang 15 gintong produksyon ng Swim League Philippines (SLP) sa huling araw ng 2024 Asian Open School Invitational (AOSI) Aquatics Championships na ginanap sa Assumption University Aquatic Center (ABAC) Suvarnabhumi Campus dito.
Nagpasiklab ang Immaculate Heart of Mary College-Paranaque tanker sa boys’ 12-13 200m backstroke matapos magtala ng dalawang minuto at 28.14 segundo para makuha ang gintong medalya.
Pinataob ni Mojdeh si Kan Phasukram ng Thailand na may naitalang dikit na 2:29.52 na nagkasya lamang sa pilak na medalya.
“Madi definitely smashed the AOSI Swim champs as he swept all his events and finished in 100 percent personal best (PB) rate. This is his first time to have won multiple medals in International meet plus in PB breaking fashion. Looking forward to his future meets,” ani PH BEST team manager at proud mother Joan Mojdeh.
Hindi rin nagpaawat si Mikhael Jasper Mojdeh na maningning na tinapos ang kanyang unang international competition matapos angkinin ang gintong medalya sa boys’ 8-year 100m freestyle sa bilis na 1:21.34.
“It’s was a great experience especially winning gold medals in my first international competition. On to the next one,” wika ni Mikhael Jasper.
Nakahirit din ng apat na gintong medalya si Kevin Arguzon, habang may tig-dalawa naman sina Arbeen Thruelen, Sophia Rose Garra at Alarie Somuelo sa kani-kanilang events.
Wagi ng ginto si Arguzon sa boys’ 16-17 50m butterfly (26.79), 100m butterfly (59.14), 200m butterfly (2:13.97) at 100m freestyle (56.03).
Kumolekta ng ginto si Thruelen sa boys’ 18-over 200m butterfly (2:16.20) at 100m freestyle (55.87), habang namayagpag si Garra sa girls’ 10-11 50m butterfly (31.87) at 100m freestyle (1:06.73) at si Somuelo sa girls’ 18-over 100m butterfly (1:12.39) at 200m freestyle (2:18.78).
Nag-ambag din ng ginto sina Aishel Cid Evangelista sa boys’ 12-13 50m butterfly (28.67), Antonio Joaquin Reyes sa boys’ 14-15 100m butterfly (1:00.51) at Gilbert Gonzalvo sa boys’ 14-15 200m butterfly (2:17.90).
