SAN FRANCISCO -- Inaasahan ng Golden State Warriors na nakarekber na si star guard Klay Thompson mula sa reconstructive left knee surgery.
Ngunit dapat munang makita ng personal ni Warriors general manager Bob Myers si Thompson.
“I think we’ve got to take a look at him when we see him,” sabi ni Myers kahapon sa isang conference call. “There’s different versions of 100% — 100% for you or I when we walk around the street is not 100% of an NBA basketball player playing basketball.”
“So until we kind of test him and see him and he’s starting one-on-one and then two-on-two--and obviously the pandemic has not allowed him that opportunity to do those type of things,” dagdag nito.
Nagkaroon si Thompson ng torn ACL sa kanyang kaliwang tuhod noong Hunyo 13 sa Game Six ng NBA Finals laban sa Toronto Raptors at sumailalim sa surgery noong Hulyo 2.
Tumapos ang Golden State na may 15-50 record na siyang NBA worst record dahil hindi nakalaro sina Thompson at Stephen Curry na may broken left hand.
Pumasok naman si two-time NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant sa free agency at lumipat sa Brooklyn Nets
