Gadi, Albo angat na sa PNRS ranking

MANILA, Philippines - Bumandera sina Anto­nino Benjamin Gadi, Airah Nicole Albo at iba pang miyembro ng Philippine badminton national squad sa pinakabagong Philippine National Ranking System (PNRS) matapos ang kanilang kampanya sa mga local tournaments na may basbas ng Philippine Badminton Association (PBA).

Base sa kanyang mga panalo sa 7th Prima Pasta championship, 2014 Philippine National Games at sa 2014 FDG Cup, humakot ang national team’s men’s singles player na si Gadi ng 21,720 points at napanatili ang men’s singles No. 1 ranking.

Siya ay sinundan ng kap­wa niya national player na sina Kevin Michael Cu­diamat (17820), Rabie Jayson Oba-ob (16270) at junior standout Ros Lee­nard Pedrosa (15000).

Nakamit naman ni    Albo, isa sa mga sumisikat na junior players, ang No. 1 spot sa women’s singles ranking sa kanyang 19,350 points sa itaas nina Pauline Tan (14,970) at Sarah Joy Barredo (14,720).

Pinamunuan nina Philip Joper Escueta at Ronel Estanislao ang men’s doubles ranking sa kanilang 22,950 points kasunod sina Peter Gabriel Magnaye at Paul Vivas (18,900) at Paul John Pantig at Carlos Cayanan (18,600).

Sa women’s doubles ranking, namuno sina Jessie Francisco at Eleanor Christine Inlayo sa kanilang 21,450 points.

Ang No. 1 spot sa mi­xed doubles ranking ay kinuha nina Peter Gabriel Magnaye at Aires Amor Montilla sa kanilang 23,250 points.

Nag-organisa ang PBA ng isang five-leg national ranking system para pag-aralan ang ipinakita ng mga miyembro ng national trai­ning pool sa iba’t ibang PBA-sanctioned tournaments.
