Relasyon ng Pinas at Japan mas palalakasin

MANILA, Philippines — Nais ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na mas palakasin pa ang kasalukuyang relasyon ng Pilipinas at Japan.

Ito ang sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos sa pagbisita ni Japan Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Secretary gene­ral Motegi Toshimitsu sa Malakanyang.

Ayon kay Marcos, mara­mi pang maaaring gawin sa pagitan ng kooperasyon ng dalawang bansa.

“I’m happy that you come at a time where the relations between the Philippines and Japan are stronger that they have been in our entire history,” ang welcome message ng Pangulo kay Motegi.

Sagot  naman ni Motegi, karangalan ang mu­ling makabisita sa bansa at pangatawanan ang tungkulin ng Japan bilang kapitbahay at strategic partner ng Pilipinas.

“So, I’m aware that there was an in-depth discussion on our bilateral relations, and interregional and international affairs at the last year’s (summit meetings). Also, this year, this April there was a First Naval Japan-US-Philippines Trilateral Summit. And I’m delighted to see that the trilateral cooperations has been a steady progress,” pahayag ng opisyal.

Ang secretary-general ng LDP ang itinuturing na “de facto” second most powerful position sa political party system ng Japan.
