"The country’s unemployment rate dropped to 4.4% in August 2023 from 5.3% in the same month last year," wika ng PSA kanina.

"In the previous month, the unemployment rate was posted at 4.8%. In terms of magnitude, there were 2.21 million unemployed Filipinos aged 15 years and over in August 2023."

  • unemployment rate: 4.4%
  • walang trabaho: 2.21 milyon
  • employment rate: 95.6
  • may trabaho:  48.07 milyon
  • underemployment rate: 11.7%
  • underemployed: 5.63 milyon
  • labor force participation rate: 64.77%

"Underemployed persons are those who expressed the desire to have additional hours of work in their present job or to have an additional job, or to have a new job with longer hours of work," sabi pa ng PSA.

"Visible underemployment rate or the proportion of underemployed persons working less than 40 hours in a week was posted at 7.5 percent in August 2023. On the other hand, invisible underemployment rate or the proportion of underemployed persons working at least 40 hours a week was placed at 4.2 percent."
