MANILA, Philippines — Pinsala ang inaasahan ngayon ng state volcanologists matapos yugyugin ng malakas na paglindol ang ilang lugar sa Kabisayaan at Bicol, Lunes.
Bandang 6:37 a.m. nang ugain nito ang epicenter na San Agustin, Surigao del Sur, ayon sa tala ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) ngayong umaga.

Inaasahan ang mga pinasala at aftershocks mula sa nasabing lindol na umabot hanggang intensity V.
Sa kabila nito, sinabi ng Phivolcs na wala namang inaasahang tsunami — o biglaang pagragasa ng tubig mula sa mga dagat patungong pangpang mula sa lindol — dulot ng insidente.
"A strong earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.0 occurred in Offshore Surigao Del Sur, Philippines on 16 November 2020 at 06:37 AM (Philippine Standard Time) located at 08.64 oN, 126.47oE with depth of 33 km. No destructive tsunami threat exists based on available data."
