MANILA, Philippines — Bago magtanghali, muling naitigil ang pagtakbo ng mga tren ng Manila Light Rail Transit System Line 2 ngayong Huwebes kasunod ng nangyaring sunog sa kanilang linya.
Bandang 11:24 a.m. nang suspindihin ng Light Rail Transit Authority ang operasyon ng linya.
"The fire that was seen along the carriageway between Anonas & Katipunan stations was caused by the tripping off of Rectifier Substation (RSS) 5 located at Katipunan station," ayon sa pamunuan ng LRT-2.

As of writing, the cause of this incident is still being investigated upon.
Magpahanggang sa ngayon, iniimbestigahan pa raw ang puno't dulo ng nangyari.
Kinumpirma rin ng LRTA na naapula na ang sunog sa ngayon: "[A]s of writing, said fire has been contained."
Humingi naman sila ng paumanhin sa lahat ng naabala ng insidente.

Matatandaang naperwisyo rin ng parehong linya ang mga komyuter kahapon nang huminto ang operasyon nito Miyerkules ng umaga, kasunod ng aberyang dinanas ng Manila Metro Rail Transit System Line 3.
Samantala, isinara rin kanina ang Balintawak at Roosevelt stations ng LRT-1 dahil sa dinadanas na "mechanical issues."
