Inihain sa Korte Suprema: Disbarment vs. accuser ni VP Binay

MANILA, Philippines - Pinadi-disbar sa Korte Suprema si Atty. Renato Bondal, isa sa mga nag-aakusa kay Vice President Jejomar Binay dahil  umano sa “gross immoral conduct” na nag-ugat sa bigamy.

Batay sa 2 pahinang  reklamo sa Supreme Court-Office Court Administrator ni Eduardo Eridio, residente ng Bgy. Palanan, dalawang  beses umano nagpakasal si Bondal kung saan ito ay naganap noong  Marso 19, 1997 at Hulyo 2, 2011.

Ayon sa reklamo ni Eridio, dapat lamang umanong tanggalan ng  lisensiya  si Bondal  bunsod na rin ng pag-abandona sa kanyang unang asawa at anak at muling pagpapakasal sa ikalawang asawa. Indikasyon lamang ito na  hindi umano ginagawa ni Bondal ang  moral standards.

Nakasaad sa Section 27 Rule 138 ng  Rules of Court, ang  “A member of the bar may be removed or suspended from his office as attorney by the Supreme Court for any deceit, malpractice, or other gross misconduct in such office, grossly immoral conduct, or by reason of his conviction of a crime involving moral turpitude, or for any violation of the oath which he is required to take before the admission to practice, or for a wilful disobedience of any lawful order of a superior court, or for corruptly or wilfully appearing as an attorney for a party to a case without authority so to do.”

Posibleng mapatawan si Bondal ng penalty of prison mayor o imprisonment mula anim hanggang 12 taon bunsod ng paglabag sa Article 349 ng  Revised Penal Code. 

Idinagdag pa ni  Eridio na tinangka ring lituhin ni Bondal ang publiko nang  gumamit ito ng  pa­ngalang  ‘Lou’ sa kanyang ikalawang kasal habang pareho naman ang address, parents name at birthday.  Patunay lamang na ang  Renato L. Bondal at Renato Lou L. Bondal,  sa una at ikalawang kasal ay iisa.
