Jackielou at Ricky nababaliw sa apo!

Jackielou Blanco cannot remember her mom asking lalo na for anything material from her and her brother, Ramon Christopher (pet name: Monching) during their growing up years. Actually, until now.

Jackielou and Monching’s mom, of course, is the legendary singer, Pilita Corrales.

She realizes her mom’s importance to her, lalo na raw na’t matagal na siyang isang ina na rin and don’t look now, lola rin, courtesy of hers and Ricky Davao’s eldest son, Kenneth, who is not married, though, sa ina ng kanyang anak.

Now estranged from each other, Jackielou and Ricky have remained friends to each other.

Like her mom, hindi raw siya nag-i-impose, lalo’t ng anything material din from her children.

While Ricky is more of a TV and movie director now (his last directorial job was the series, Adarna), sa acting pa rin naka-focus ang atensyon ni Jackielou. Featured siya along with Alice Dixson, Ariel Rivera, Carl Guevarra, and Sarah Lahbati in More Than Words, a Mother’s day presentation ng TV 5. It will air on May 11, 9 p.m.

Pokwang nag-iipon ng puhunan sa restaurant

Although comedienne Pokwang regrets she has not been a full-time mom to only child, Ria Mae, her daughter, who is 17, she assures her na ma-feel niya kung gaano nya ito kamahal at kahalaga sa kanya.

Now a first year student in Culinary Arts in a Culinary School sa Fort Bonifacio, Taguig, Pokwang wants to give Ria Mae a coming out party when she turns 18 this year.

Pokwang, of course, co-stars in Mirabella with John Lapus, Enrique Gil, Sam Conception, Mylene Dizon, Gloria Diaz, Arlene Muhlach, and Julia Barretto, who plays the title role.

Pokwang will soon start working on a movie with Zanjoe Marudo as her leading man.

Iza Calzado will sure miss her mom, as well as her dad, the late choreographer-TV director, Lito Calzado, ngayong Mother’s day.

Mas naunang namatay ang kanyang ina kesa kanyang daddy, who passed away nearly three years ago pa lang.

Busy si Ryan bilang TV comedian and TV host. Nasa gag shows siyang Banana Nite at Banana Split Extra Scoop. Kasama rin siya sa line-up ng hosts ng daily noontime musical show on ABS CBN, It’s Showtime.
