Alas Men bigo sa Chinese-Taipei
NAGOYA, Japan — Isinara ng Alas Pilipinas Men ang kanilang kampanya sa 20th Asian Games indoor volleyball mula sa 25-21, 20-25, 17-25, 27-29 kabiguan sa Chinese Taipei kahapon dito sa Okazaki Central Park Gymnasium.
Nalasap ng mga Pinoy spikers ang kanilang ikatlong sunod na kamalasan sa Pool D at nahulog sa classification round.
Pumalo si team captain Bryan Bagunas ng 17 points, habang may 16 markers si Joshua Magalaman.
“We performed good enough in the first set, I saw the eagerness and the will to win from my teammates,” sabi ni Bagunas. “But when it comes to crucial points, how to deal with them, that’s where we lose our composure.”
Kung mananalo sa kanilang mga laro sa classification round ay maaari silang tumapos sa ninth place kagaya ng nakamit ng Alas Women.
“Our first two opponents are strong but the level of their game is not that high,” wika ni Bagunas. “We’re so close to what they can do on the court.”
Prayoridad ngayon ng Alas Men ang mga nakuhang leksyon sa kanilang pagsalang sa pool stage para ipanalo ang mga susunod nilang laban sa classification round.
“We’re hoping to lessen our errors so we could snatch victories in the classification round,” sabi ng dating National University Bulldogs superstar.
