MANILA, Philippines — Determinado ang TNT Tropang Giga na huwag nang pabangunin ang Barangay Ginebra sa kanilang best-of-seven championship series.
Matapos kunin ang Game One, 95-89, ay target ng Tropang Giga na iposte ang 2-0 lead sa kanilang titular showdown ng Gin Kings sa Game Two ng Season 49 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals.
Magtutuos ang magkaribal ngayong alas-7:30 ng gabi sa MOA Arena sa Pasay City.
“We got Game One and now it’s about focusing on the next game and doing what we have to do to be better, to not let the lead drop, to not let our mental lapses take over the game. So it’s about getting better,” ani TNT import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.
Humakot ang two-time PBA Best Import awardee ng 34 points, 13 rebounds at 8 assists sa series opener noong Biyernes.
Nagsalpak ang tropa ni coach Chot Reyes ng kabuuang 14 three-point shots, ang walo rito ay kanilang ipinasok sa first period kung saan nila sinimulang tambakan ang Ginebra.
“As long as we keep consistently getting good shots, some will fall, some will not. But at least the entire objective is to get good shots,” ani Reyes na nakahugot kay Roger Pogoy ng limang tres.
Kagaya ng inaasahan, tiyak na reresbak ang Gin Kings para tablahan ang Tropang Giga sa serye.
“We have to understand that this is going to be a lot tougher series than it was the last one,” sabi ni coach Tim Cone na muling aasa kina import Justin Brownlee, Scottie Thompson, Japeth Aguilar at RJ Abarrientos.
