MANILA, Philippines — Ang ikalawang sunod na panalo ang susubukang maiposte ng Philippine team sa pagharap sa Singapore sa Group A ng 12th Asean Football Federation Women’s Championship sa Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Sumipa ang mga Pinay booters ng malaking 1-0 panalo sa Australia tampok ang match-winning header ni veteran Sarina Bolden sa second half kamakalawa ng gabi.

“Obviously it was an amazing result against a team that has been ranked in the top 10 for the last 10 years,” sabi ni Phl team coach Alen Stajcic. “The performance of our players was first class.”

Haharapin ng Filipinas ang mga Singaporeans ngayong alas-7 ng gabi sa Rizal Memorial pitch para sumosyo sa top spot sa torneong inorganisa ng Philippine Football Federation.

Tinalo na ng Pinas ang Singapore, 3-0 at 4-0, sa huling dalawang edisyon ng torneo.

“We just have to develop better because we have the World Cup coming up. We need to go as far as we can in this AFF tournament and continue to better ourselves,” ani Bolden.

Samantala, lalabanan ng Australia ang co-leader na Thailand, dinomina ang Indonesia, 4-0, sa alas-7 ng gabi sa Imus Stadium sa Cavite.

Magtutuos naman ang Malaysia at Indonesia sa alas-4 ng hapon sa Biñan Stadium sa Laguna.
