MANILA, Philippines — Dalawang importanteng awards ang nasungkit ni Asian Games champion Margielyn Didal sa kauna-unahang Asia Skateboarding Awards.

Ginawaran si Didal ng Fastest Feet in the East award dahil sa kanyang mahusay na pagpapasiklab ng iba’t ibang tricks.

“It was definitely a stacked women’s finals with some of the most talented skaters in the mix but when the dust settled it was the precision skateboarding of 21-year old Margielyn Didal from Cebu, Philippines that came through,” ayon sa post ng The Skateboarding Social.

Napasakamay din ni Didal ang Style for Miles award dahil naman sa kanyang kakaibang estilo sa skateboarding na tunay na nagpahanga sa mga hurado.

“Style definitely matters at the Asia Skate Awards 2020 and no matter how challenging it is to determine, we set out to crown the best individuals across Asia who effortlessly make it look good riding a skateboard,” ayon pa sa The Skateboarding Social.

Kandidato rin si Didal sa Creative Sole at Trick of the Year awards habang nominado rin ito sa Asia Skater of the Year award.

Sa men’s division, na-nominate rin sina SEA Games gold medalist Daniel Ledermann at silver medalist Mak Feliciano sa Asia Skater of the Year award.

Target ni Didal na mamapanatili ang kanyang world ranking upang mabigyan ng tiket sa Tokyo Olympics.

Kasalukuyan itong No. 14 sa world ranking at No. 3 naman sa Asian ranking.
