MANILA, Philippines – Nakatakdang bumiyahe ngayon ang 10-tan­ker  ng Philippine Swimming League (PSL) delegation para sumabak sa 2016 Tokyo Nationals Swimming Championship na pakakawalan sa Pebrero 7-10 sa Japan.

Pamumunuan nina PSL President Susan Papa at Secretary General Maria Susan Benasa ang grupo kasama sina coaches Alex Papa at  Marlon Dula at National Capital Region Director Joan Melissa Moj­deh.

Babanderahan nina Swimmer of the Year top candidates Sean Terence Zamora ng University of Santo Tomas at Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh ng Immaculate Heart of Mary-College-Parañaque ang nasabing PSL lineup sa Tokyo meet.

Ang iba pang miyembro ng koponan ay sina University Athletic Association of the Philippines Season 78 gold medalist Drew Benett Magbag ng University of the Philippines Integrated School, Gwangju Univer­siade veteran Jux Keaton Solita ng UST at Singapore Swimming Championship Most Outstanding Swimmer awardee Marc Bryan Dula ng Weissenheimer Academy.

Kakampanya rin sina Indian Ocean All-Star Challenge veterans Lans Rawlin Donato ng UP at Martin Pupos ng National University, Singapore Invitational Swimming Meet medalist Joey del Rosario ng De La Salle Santiago Zobel School, Lowenstein Julian Lazaro at John Leo Paul Salibio.

Bago magtungo sa Tok­yo ay dumaan muna ang mga swimmers sa isang serye ng training camp sa Diliman Preparatory School swimming pool.

 Bukod sa host Japan, lalahok din sa torneo ang China, US, Great Britain, Netherlands at Germany.

Noong 2015 ay kumo­lekta ang PSL ng 19 gold, 10 silver at 10 bronze me­dals sa Japan Ivitational Swimming Championship.
