Rivera, Tugade naghari sa HEAD Jr. Davao leg

MANILA, Philippines – Dalawang  titulo ang nakuha nina Shaira Hope Rivera at Vince Tugade para pasiklabin ang opening leg ng Globe 17th HEAD GRAPHENE XT Junior Tennis Satellite Circuit sa Davao City.

Si Rivera ay nanalo kina Nicole Bautista,6-3, 6-1, at Patricia Velez, 6-3,6-1, para sa kampeonato sa 18-under at 16-under girls singles divisions.

Suportado ng Globe Telecoms at HEAD Philippines, si Tugade ay na­naig kina Stephene Tubbs, 6-4, 6-0, at JD Velez, 6-1, 6-2, upang magdomina sa boys’ 16-under at 14-under sa kompetisyong inor­­ganisa ng Dynamics Sports.

Ang iba pang nanalo sa singles ay sina Elwin Centillas (18-under) at Ropert Tortal (12-under) sa kalalakihan, Danna Maeil Abad (14-under) at Coleen Carvajal (12-under) sa kababaihan habang si Andre Kenny Sing ang nagdomina sa 10-under unisex sa kompetisyong may basbas ng Philippine Tennis Association (Philta).

Nagkaroon din ng aksyon sa doubles at sina Rivera at Velez (18-U) at Jessca Mae Carcueva at Kiara Gandeza (14-U) ay kampeon sa kababaihan at sina Lord Renz Pacheco at Justin Jomari Guira (18-U) at Edgar Quinones at Abdul Hanan Cariga (14-U) ang sa kalalakihan.

Ang ikalawang leg ay lilipat sa Sultan Kudarat  mula Marso 16 hanggang 20.

Ang iba pang sumusuporta sa palarong ito ay ang Chris Sports, Head ATP Tennis Balls, Graphene XT, Toalson, Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Philippine Tennis Association (PHILTA), Sports Radio 918AM, Home Radio 97.9FM Natural, Boracay Informer, Todo 88.5FM Aklan, Radyo Inquirer 990AM, Power Wheels Magazine, Motorcycle Magazine, Balikbayan The Asian Journal Magazine, Wazzup Pilipinas, Reach Magazine, Oishi at AMAX Inn Makati.
