MANILA, Philippines - Sinira ni Jenyrose Rosa­les ng University of the East ang 32-year-old Philippine re­cord ni athletics great Ly­dia De Vega sa women’s 400 meter run.

Ito ay ginawa ni Rosales sa Season 76 athletics competitions ng UAAP na idina­os La Salle-Dasmariñas Track and Field Stadium.

Nagsumite ang 18-an­yos na si Rosales ng ba­gong Philippine mark na 54.65 segundo na kanyang ginawa sa heats pa lamang ng 400m run.

Ito ang sumira sa 54.75 mar­ka ni De Vega na kan­yang itinala sa Manila South­east Asian Games no­­ong 1981 sa maalamat na Rizal Memorial Oval.

Tumapos si Rosales na may mas mabagal na 56.03 se­gundo para makuha ang gold medal kasunod ang mga kakamping sina Nes­lee Angco (57.62) at Carme­la Leonardo (58.14).
