Eizmendi itinalagang OIC sa PABA

MANILA, Philippines - Nagdesisyon ang Phi­lippine Amateur Baseball Associaton (PABA) board na italaga si Marty Eizmendi bilang acting president ng samahan.

Sa pagpupulong na ginawa noong Miyerkules, napagkasunduan din ang pagsasagawa ng Congress at Election sa Enero, 2014.

“The PABA official board as registered in the SEC has initiated the re-organization by electing Marty Eizmendi to be the acting president of PABA. The board has also approved the resolutions to amend the articles with regards to membership and dues,” wika ni PABA secretary-general Tom Navasero.

Ang pagrebisa sa mem­bership ay para mapapasok ang ibang stake holders sa baseball na siyang itinutulak ng Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) para tunay na maging National Sports Association (NSA) ang PABA.

Walang nakikitang problema si Navasero kay Eizmendi dahil lahat ng stakeholders ay kasundo niya.

“I nominated Marty for he puts aside self interest and has a big heart for the sport. He will provide governance and structure to our nation’s baseball program,” dagdag ni Navasero, anak ng nasirang PABA head Hector Navasero.

Agad namang kikilos si Eizmendi para maayos ang lahat ng dapat ayusin at maikasa ang eleksyon sa Enero.

Mahalaga ang 2014 sa baseball dahil balak ng PABA na magpadala ng koponan sa Asian Games sa Korea. Isa pang paghahandaan ng asosasyon ay ang hosting ng Asia Cup U-12 na ibinigay sa Pilipinas at gagawin sa Hulyo.
