Morada, Pedrosa sa finals ng boy’s under-19 event ng PBaRS

MANILA, Philippines - Nangibabaw sina National pool members Alvin Mo­rada at Roslee Pedrosa para itakda ang kanilang title show­down sa boys’ Under-19 singles ng MVP Sports Foun­dation-Philippine Badminton Ranking System (PBaRS) sa San Fernando, Pampanga kahapon.

Muli namang maghaharap sina Bianca Carlos at Ge­lita Castilo, magkakampi sa Golden Shuttle Foundation, sa finals ng women’s Open singles matapos manaig sa kanilang mga semifinal matches sa event na itinataguyod ng MVP Sports Foundation.

Tinalo ni Carlos si Nikki Servando, 21-19, 19-21, 21-10, upang ayusin ang kanilang title clash ni Castilo, gi­niba si Jen Cayetano, 21-7, 21-10.

Iginupo naman ng ninth-ranked na si Morada si Kee­yan Gabuelo, 21-12, 15-21, 21-12, habang ginapi ni Pedrosa si Bryan Garrido, 21-12, 21-12, sa kanilang mga semifinal matches sa Excel Badminton Center.

Nauna nang binigo ni Pedros sina No. 16 Jan Sinfue­go at No. 6 Christian Cuyno bago patumbahin si 10th ranked Joshua Monterubio, 21-17, 21-19, sa quarterfinal round ng event na may basbas ng Philippine Badminton Association na pinamumunuan ni Vice President Jejomar Binay kasama sina sportsman Manny V. Pangilinan (chairman) at Rep. Albee Benitez (sec-gen).

Tinalo naman ni Jourelle Antonio ng City Shuttle-JB si Kyle Legaspi, 21-18, 22-20, patungo sa finals ng boys’ Under-15 class.

Makakatapat niya si Daniel Pantanosas ng Corpus Christi na gumitla kay third seed John Matthew Bernardo, 21-15, 20-22, 21-4.

Nagdomina naman sina Carlos at No. 2 Patrisha Malibiran sa quarterfinals sa U-19 class.
