Schedule ng semis game binago ni Salud

MANILA, Philippines - Dalawang magkasunod na araw ang magiging iskedyul para sa best-of-seven semifinals series ng 2011-2012 PBA Philippine Cup.

Sa Enero, 4, 2012 ay mag­tatagpo sa pagsisi­mula ng kanilang semifinals showdown ang Rain or Shine at Powerade sa ga­nap na alas-6:45 ng gabi sa Cuneta Astrodome sa Pasay City.

Winalis ng No. 5 Elasto Painters ang kanilang best-of-three quarterfinals duel ng No. 4 Ginebra Gin Kings, 2-0, habang da­lawang panalo naman ang kinailangan ng No. 8 Tigers upang sibakin ang No. 1 B-Meg Llamados.

Ang Llamados at nagdedepensang No. 2 Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters, pinatalsik ang No. 7 Barako Bull Energy sa quarterfinals, ay nagbitbit ng ‘twice-to-beat’ incentives.

Maglalaban naman ang Tropang Texters at Petron Blaze Boosters sa Enero 5 para sa pagsulong ng kanilang semifinals showdown sa naturang Pasay City venue.

“It’s been a long time that the PBA office is mul­ling this, and I think now is the right time, now that we have a good mixtures of matchups,” sabi ni PBA commissioner Chito Salud.

“We have two teams (Rain or Shine and Po­werade) composed of young guns who are the future of the PBA. This is a good opportunity to highlight these young guys. At the same time, we give equal exposure to the older stars on the other side.”

Ang Petron ni Ato Agustin ang sumira sa pangarap ng Talk ‘N Text at ni Chot Re­yes na makumpleto ang pinapangarap na Grand Slam matapos angkinin ang 2011 PBA Governors Cup.

Sa semifinals series rin mag-uunahan para sa Best Player of the Conference award sina scoring leader Gary David ng Powerade, regular double-double performer Arwind Santos ng Petron at point guard Alex Cabagnot.

Itatampok rin sa semis ang bidahan nina top draf­tees Jvee Casio at Marcio Lassiter ng Powerade, Paul Lee ng Rain or Shine at Chris Lutz ng Petron.
