Mosley 'di dapat balewalain--Roach

MANILA, Philippines - Kung mayroon mang ba­gay na gustong iwasan ni trainer Freddie Roach na gawin ni Manny Pacquiao, ito ay ang maniwala sa mga taong nakapaligid sa kanya na isang madaling laban ang kanilang salpukan ni Sugar Shane Mosley.

Ito ang sinabi kahapon ni Roach sa panayam ng 8 Countnews.com hinggil sa paghaharap ng 32-anyos na si Pacquiao at ng 39-an-yos na si Mosley sa Mayo 7 sa MGM Grand Arena sa Las Vegas, Nevada. 

“I just need to get Manny to stop listening to those people who see that this will be an easy fight,” sabi ng 50-anyos na si Roach. “That’s the worst thing in the world that they could tell him.”

Itataya ni Pacquiao ang kanyang suot na World Bo-xing Organization (WBO) welterweight title laban kay Mosley.

Tangan ng Sarangani Congressman ang kanyang 52-3-2 win-loss-draw ring record kasama ang 38 KOs, samantalang taglay naman ni Mosley ang 46-6-1 (39 KOs) slate.

“You’re the best fighter in the world. If Shane wins against Manny, those last two fights will go away,” ani Roach sa nakaraang dalawang laban ni Mosley, isang five-time world champion, kina Floyd Mayweather, Jr. at Sergio Mora.

Sinabi pa ng trainer na kayang saktan ni Mosley ang Filipino world eight-di­vision champion katulad ng nangyari sa kanilang la­ban ni Mayweather noongMayo.

“We need to be ready for something like that. We’re not going to underestimate him (Mosley), we’re gonna be in great shape, we expect him to be in his best,” sabi ni Roach.

Taglay pa rin ang ‘speed and power’, sinabi ni Roach na mas mabigat na kala­ban si Mosley kumpara sa 5-foot-11 na si Mexican Antonio Margarito.
