Sa nais niyang makalaban ngayong taon, Pacquiao kasama sa listahan ni Mayweather

MANILA, Philippines - Kaagad na inililinya ng kampo ni American world five-division champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr. ang mga pangalan nina Filipino Manny Pacquiao, American Sugar Shane Mosley at Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto bilang posibleng sagupain ngayong taon.

Ito ang sinabi kahapon ni Leonard Ellerbe, ang adviser at Chief Executive Officer (CEO) ng Mayweather Promotions, sa panayam ng ESPN.

"I can tell you this right now that we're gonna line all these guys up, whoever the so-called best guys are, whoever they say they, and we'll line up," ani Ellerbe. "Obviously, he can't fight them all in one night. But one by one, so whoever it is. He left the best, he's coming back the best. All roads lead to Floyd Mayweather."

Kung hindi makakasundo si Bob Arum ng Top Rank Promotions, humahawak kina Pacquiao at Cotto, naririyan pa si Mosley.

"Mosley had a good win with (Antonio) Margarito," wika ni Ellerbe. "We can't fight him right now, but he's one of the top fighters. We recognize he's one of the top fighters. He can get it too."

Nakatakdang sagupain ng 32-anyos na si Mayweather ang 35-anyos na si Mexican world lightweight titlist Juan Manuel Marquez sa Hulyo 18 sa MGM Grand sa Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ito ang unang laban ni Mayweather matapos magretiro noong Hunyo ng 2008 makaraang talunin si Briton Ricky Hatton via 10th-round TKO noong Disyembre ng 2007.

Matutuloy lamang ang balak ni Mayweather kung matatalo niya si Marquez.

"I'm not overlooking Juan Manuel Marquez, and I hope he's not overlooking me," sabi ni Mayweather. "He knows I've been off awhile so he might think I'm rusty, but I'm not. I'll be ready."

Nagdadala si Mayweather ng 39-0-0 win-loss-draw ring record kasama ang 25 KOs, habang may 50-4-1 (37 KOs) naman si Marquez. (Russell Cadayona)
