NAGA City — Kinumpleto ng Laguna ang kanilang dominasyon sa aquatics sa huling araw ng kompetisyon sa pag-kopo ng pitong golds upang tangha-ling overall champion sa Bicol Southern Tagalog Qualifying Games ng 2nd Philippine Olympic Festival sa Metro Naga Sports Complex dito.

Komopo sina Banjo Borja, Joshua Desamero at Marvie Borja ng tiga-lawang gold medals habang ang team nina Julie delas Alas, Grace Cervantes, Althea Belen at Margot Mabanta ay lumangoy ng ginto sa 200-meter medley relay para sa 13-14 years old upang tanghaling champion ng aquatics event ang Laguna na humakot ng 39-gold.

Mayroon ding 14-golds ang Laguna sa taekwondo at arnis, 13 sa archery at gymnastics, pito sa karatedo at judo at tatlo sa wrestling na nagselyo ng overall title sa kabuuang 125-89-57 (gold-silver-bronze) medal collection sa event na ito na suportado ng Globe, Accel,  Philippine STAR, Asia Brewery, Negros Navigation, AMA Computer College, Naga City, Philtranco, Villa Caceres at Creativity Lounge.

Nanalo si Banjo Borja sa 200m breaststroke at 400m freestyle ng 15-and-above boys, naghari si Desamero sa 100m butterfly at 400m free ng 13-14 years old habang namayagpag si Marvie Borja sa 100m butterfly at 400m free ng 15-and-above girls.

Ang bagong talent na nadiskubre ay ang 14-anyos tanker na si Christin Grace ng Lipa City, Batangas na nanalo ng tatlong gold kahapon sa 400m free, 100m fly at 200m breaststroke para sa kanyang kabuuang 12 gold medals para tanghaling Best Athlete. (Joey Villar)
