Coca-Cola Tennis Open sa Subic

Muli na namang makakakuha ng malaking boost ang local tennis ngayong tag-init sa paglulunsad ng ikalawang yugto ng Coca-Cola Tennis Open Championships sa Subic Bay Freeport Zone na magsisimula sa Mayo 24 hanggang Hunyo 1.

Ang nasabing tournament ay inihalintulad makaraan ang Grand Slam Events na gina-nap sa bagong Subic Bay International Tennis and Sports Center, ang kauna-unahang at pinong tennis facility na nag-aalok sa general public year-round activities sa kompetitibo at developmental levels.

Magpapakita ng aksiyon ang mga topnetters ng bansa sa pangunguna ng defending champion na si Joseph Vic-torino, Johnny Arcilla, Adelo Abadia at Philippine junior talents mula sa Subic Bay Patrick J. Tiero at Nico Riego de Dios sa event na ito na magta-tampok ng kompetisyon sa men’s at women’s singles at doubles, age groups at ang popular na team tennis event para sa Clubs at Junior Leagues.

"We continue to support this event because we want to sustain the development of sports like tennis in the country where Filipinos have and can again excel internationally as we have done in other sports," wika ni Genaro ‘Genju’ Lapez, presidente ng Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines, Inc., (CCBPI). Katulong ng CCBPI na maiorganisa ang nasabing event ang Subic Bay Sports Management, inc., sa pangu-nguna ng pangulong si Virgilio ‘Beeyong’ Sison, dating RP team coach at host Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority sa pangunguna ng chairman na si Felicito Payumo.
