San Miguel 9-Ball Tour raratsada

Inihayag ng Asia’s no. 1 sports broadcaster ESPN STAR Sports ang paglulunsad ng San Miguel 9-Ball Tour 2003 na sisimulan sa Singapore sa Marso 15-16 at bibiyahe sa Ho Chi Minh (Abril 12-13), Hong Kong (May 3-4), Taipei (May 24-25) at Manila (June 21-22) para madetermina ang Asia’s best pool players.

Inorganisa ng ESS’s Management Group, ang tour at tatampukan ng Asia’s top players at may nakahandang $50,000 prize money bawat yugto.

Ang top 10 finishers sa Tour ay makakakuha din ng entry tungo sa World Professional Pool Championships na gaganapin sa Cardiff, Wales sa July.

Ang San Miguel Asian 9-Ball tour ang natatanging pool competition sa Asia na nagbibigay sa mga players ng puntos para makasama sa World Pool Championships, na inaasam ng marami na gagawin sa Asia sa 2004. Ang tour ay pagbabasehan din ng annual ranking ng top players sa Asia.

Pangungunahan ni dating World Pool champion Efren ‘Bata’ Reyes ang 6-man pool na kinabibilangan din nina World Pool Championship runner-up Francisco ‘Django’ Bustamante, Lee Van Corteza, Dennis Orcullo, Warren Kiamco at Antonio ‘Nikoy’ Lining.

Tutungo naman ng Singapore ang kanilang sponsor na si sportsman Aristeo G. Puyat ng Puyat Sports, na tumulong sa ESPN sa pag-organisa ng torneo, para dumalo sa inauguration ng tournament.
