RP referees dadalo sa New Karate rules seminar sa Malaysia

Dalawang karatedo instructors mula sa Association for the Advancement of Karatedo (AAK) ang umalis upang dumalo sa Referees Seminar na idadaos ni world Karate Federation Referee Council chairman Tommy Morris.

Sina AAK Senior Instructor Richard Anthony Lim, 5th Dan at Juan Carlos Veguillas, 4th Dan ang dadalo sa kauna-unahang seminar sa bagong WKF rules of competition na gaganapin sa Sutera Harbor Resort, Kota Kinabali, Malaysia ngayong Hunyo 4 hanggang Hunyo 10.

Naitatag sa nakalipas na limang taon at inaprobahan sa nakaraang WKF Congress sa Munich, ang bagong WKF rules ay tatalakayin at susubukan sa Kobe Osaka International World Cup and Training Camp. Ang Training Camp ay binubuo ng apat na araw na pagsasanay ng ilang pinakamahusay na international instructors mula sa apat na pangunahing istilo. Ito ay kinabibilangan ng Kata, Kumite, at Self Defense course, Referees Course at Instructors course.

Sina Lim at Veguillas ay kapwa mga dating SEA Games champions at national coaches. Si Lim ay bronze medalist sa Hiroshima Asian Games. Siya ang ikalawang Filipino officials, kasunod ni Manuel Veguillas na nakakuha ng international kata judge license. Siya ang kasalu-kuyang Branch chief ng Goju Kai sa Pilipinas.

Si Juan Carlos naman sa kabilang dako ay kasama sa top eight ng World Karate Federation team kata event at kasalukuyang Branch chief ng Shito-Kai sa Pilipinas.

Kapwa may karanasan na sa pagiging reperi at outstanding karate instructors sa bansa.
