MANILA, Philippines - The AY Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of the Yuchengco Group of Companies (YGC), recently honored Reylindo Ortega as this year’s Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Awardee. Ortega, founder and executive director of the Pag-asa ng Pamilya Scholarship Foundation, Tahanan ng Pagmamahal Children’s Home and Grace to Be Born ministry, is the 25th beneficiary of the program. He is involved in social development initiatives such as granting scholarships for the poor, providing shelter for orphans and abandoned babies and rescuing victims of sexual abuse.
