Unilever Food Solution’s Chefmanship Academy

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Unilever Food Solutions (UFS), the food service division of Unilever, recently brought its globally successful Chefmanship Academy to Iloilo and Boracay to help chefs and restaurant operators stay abreast on insights and trends that will help them deal with the rapidly changing dining landscape.

Being the first food service company in Southeast Asia to offer a regionally developed roving training service for chefs and operators, UFS intended this program to help make global and regional techniques and modules available to the local chefs and restaurateurs of the Philippines.

The Chefmanship Academy sessions consisted of training modules about proper menu planning and counting costs, sharing global and local food trends, as well as a live cooking demo that showed how the theories learned from the modules can be applied in the kitchen every day.  The training sessions were facilitated by UFS executive chef Joanne Limoanco-Gendrano and her sous chef Carlos Aluning.
