MANILA, Philippines –  Cebu sizzles with parties, shows and events. Aside from being known as a design hub, the personalities here make our charming town all the more alluring. Conveniently situated with the beach and the hills both less than an hour away from the city, the best of both worlds make Cebu the perfect party venue.

Creative minds run wild with party themes that range from luxe beachside full moon parties to dancing under the stars at a villa on a hill. Our own brand of unpretentious luxury that is suburban chic and cosmopolitan all at the same time.

One smashing event that comes to mind is the party that Joanna Lhuillier threw for family and friends at her hilltop estate. Some notable guests who were home for the holidays would be Hollywood fashion designer Monique Lhuillier and husband Tom Bugbee. The overflowing bubbly was intoxicating and loose, fun chit-chat filled the air. The party was a big hit and it will be a while before Cebu sees a night out on town quite like it!

Not to be outdone, Davao is catching up with some noteworthy parties with a lot of Davaoeños stepping out of their metaphoric shells. A grand “affair to remember” is Inna Melissa Escandor’s debut. From corner to corner of the road where The Royal Mandaya Hotel stood, traffic was was at a standstill the day of the debut. Parents Glenn and Michelle Ann “Micmic” Escandor spared nothing to give their eldest daughter a night to shine. From Inna’s ball gowns by Frederick Peralta and Cary Santiago to Jimmy Choo stilettos to the Swarovski studded fondant birthday cake and the mini bottles of champagne given away to guests, all details were breathtaking and gorgeous. But of course the belle of the ball was the beaming and beautiful Inna.
