MANILA, Philippines - Believing that the issue of well-being is a primary concern and a right of every woman regardless of her socio-economic strata, the Natasha Goulbourn Foundation (NGF) joined the kick-off activity of the 2010 Women’s Month Celebration aptly titled “Babae, Tagumpay Ka ng Bayan” in collaboration with Taguig City on March 1 at the NBC Tent.
NGF is a non-profit organization whose primary objective is to promote an enhanced understanding of depression through awareness and education, and to demystify and eliminate the stigma of mental disorder, particularly depression.
The day started with a Walk for Women’s Rights by 5,000 women, headed by Kaye Tiñga. The program included seminars, counseling, meditation, skills training, medical, beauty and wellness services, and an inspiring talk by guest speaker Jean Goulbourn, President of NGF, which she began by rousing the audience to a three-minute dance session to exercise.
