Dressing the Dragon II

Mythical and magical–that’s what the dragon, dahlings, is all about. Like the phoenix and other fabled creatures, the dragon has long fascinated people in fiction and fairy tales. But dragons do exist–they are the industry moguls and taipans from our Chinese-Filipino or Tsinoy community.

A full moon ago, palanggas, the dragons of Manille gathered at the chi-chi Tagaytay Highlands for one fiery fete, Mega Magazine’s Dressing the Dragon II fashion spectacle. These notable personas and their kin flaunted their flair for fashion in clothes by some of the top! name brands around.

Brilliant namedroppables included Bell Corp.’s Willy Ocier, Roger Cabuñag and Manolo Gana, Philequity’s Wilson Sy, Highlands’ Nick Celdran and Antonio Henson, Mighty Corp.’s Caesar Wongchuking, Philcom’s Vince Jayme, French Baker Johnlu Koa.

Out for a feel of the dragon lifestyle were new guards Jon Wilbur Tan, Jedric Lim, VJ Jayme, Charles Tiu, Noel Cuvinar, Tomothy Yap, Harvey Sy, Dexter Yu Galan, Michael Tiu, Marty Tio, Denden Coyiuto, Hendrik Sy, Glenn Kilayko, Kevin Sy and Bon Kimber Syiaco.

Scene-stealers in full bloom that evening as they sashayed down the ramp were Irene Tan-Luy, Carol Sy, Evelyn Singson, Florie Florentino, Cynthia Yu, Grace Gobing, Ruby Chua, Rubby Coyiuto, Geraldine Ocier, Anne Cua, Cathy Tiu, Jane Chilip, Joan Uy Tiu and vivacious Cheska Winebrenner Tiu-Laurel.

Remember, palanggas, "Without faith it is impossible to please God." Smile. See you.
