Bonding

table TALK - TABLE TALK By Rosalinda L. Orosa -
During the well-attended celebration of Norway’s National Day at the Mandarin Oriental ballroom, Ambassador Paul Moe, midway in his welcome remarks, invited guests to sample the seafood which Norwegian Chef Stein Erik Alvestad had expressly prepared. "If you’d like a wider selection of our seafood," said the ambassador, "I strongly recommend a visit to Norway."

He added: "Well, our National Day is more than seafood and refreshments.

Today, we mark the adoption of our Constitution which, 188 years ago, secured to us basic human rights, freedom and democarcy. But Norwegians here also celebrate the excellent bilateral cooperation and close ties between our two countries."

Mr. Moe then drank a toast to continued Norwegian-Philippine friendship and bonding.

The Dutch National Day was a celebration of Queen’s Day at the New World ballroom then abloom with tulips for which Holland is famous. It also called to mind the recent wedding of Prince Willem-Alexander to the beautiful commoner Maxima Zorreguieta. After the rites, the Prince exuberantly confessed, "You’re looking at the happiest man in the world!"

Again, the toast at the New World ballroom closed with reiterations of Netherlands-RP friendship–or bonding.

At the Stars of Giorgio, where George F. Sison–the host with the most–marked his usual 28th birthday, the bonding between George and his legions of friends (and admirers) was so unique, so original that already, they are looking forward to George’s next 28th birthday celebration!
