Martin Surprise

For once he was tongue-tied, when he was ushered in by best pal Louie Ocampo to a roomful of about 120 friends at Azzuro in Glorietta for a surprise! birthday party hosted by Louie Villar, Joji Dingcong, Saripaz Tan, Cristine Pineda, Malou Chipeco and Connie Diegor. Concert king Martin Nievera thought all the while he was singing at the wedding anniversary of Louie O’s parents!

In attendance naturellement were Martin’s ever-supportive mom Conchita Razon, sister Gina Godinez with husband Jaime, Tere del Rosario and beauty Lorna Tabuena. Seen having a fun time were power couple Polly Nazareno and wife Cecile, Boy Martinez and wife Marilu, NBC’s Marco Borlongan, super singers Vina Morales and Jaya, Bing Loyzaga, workasonic gals Liza Camus, Maro Garcia, Maribel Garcia and Mals Ledesma with handsome Peter Jensen.

Louie O was with wife Jojo, showing hints of pregnancy. Dr. Vivian Sarabia gifted Martin with a top-of-the-line Carrera. There were also actor Eric Quizon, Dish/People Asia/STARweek super asset Philip Cu Unjieng, beautiful couple Rajan and Apples Sadhwani and music man Gerard Salonga.

It was definitely a starry happy night for Martin! Cheers!

Rachelle Clemente was presented as the Quezonians 1923 muse for 2002, dahlings, at their induction of officers at the Edsa Shangri-La. Lelei is the daughter of Benny Clemente, the newly-inducted president of the Quezonians 1923, and Ophelia Lovina Ticzon. Aside from Benny, other officers inducted, palanggas, include Bim Castillo (lady president), Rholand Roxas, Mary Lyn Domondon, Linda Diamante, Portia Santos, Grace Alcañeses, Baby O’Brien and Moises Hilahan, Jr.

The western themed event was highlighted by a square dance choreographed by Andy and Wing Benigno which had members kicking their heels. Those who came in best costumes won trips to Hong Kong, and the lucky ones were Roger and Gladys Cabuñag. The party continued into the night with non-stop dancing. Well, they have until August to rest their tired boots before the annual grand ball!
