Who would put up a fine dining restaurant amidst the cluster of bars and grilleries in the Libis stretch? Well, dahlings, ten young, audacious nonconformists did. Who could they be? Tell you later. First, lets take a look at the place.
Cena, which means "supper" or "dinner" in Spanish, provides an ambience of class and sophistication with the comfort and casualness of home. You can be as slack and relaxed as you want, to enjoy food that is definitely great! palanggas, from tempting appetizers to soups, seafood and pasta and the house specialty, beef fondue.
So, who are behind all this? Chris Escudero, Mike de Villa, Paula Locsin, Johann Ramos, Von Tan Gana, Lovell Gopez, Eliza Antonio and Ditrie Villacorta. And naturellement, dont miss the astounding tandem of Chef Gilbert Alan Mathay and wife Cecile Uy Mathay who are not only part owners but also sous and pastry chefs, respectively.
At its recent opening, supportive parents like Renato and Monet de Villa, Benny and Lyn Gopez, Rep. Vicky Locsin and former Mayor Mel Mathay joined prominent guests like Dr. Raul Fores, Karla Ermita, Fernando Sison III and many others in toasting this haven of good food.
Allied Domecq Phils. Inc. (adpi) celebrated two exciting milestones during a new moon, dahlings, a spectacle titled "Brandies and Beyond" at the hotel by the bay, Manila Hotel. B&B marks Fundadors 100 successful years in the country and launched Beefeater, known as the most popular dry gin, and Diablo, a new dark spirit.
Headed by hotshots like Seymour Ferreira, mega-president of adpi and popular British Ambassador Allan Collins and joined by group brand managers Agnes Moulic, Jason Mendoza and Alan Tecson, drew print and broadcast media, major distributors and members of its upscale clientele. adpi marketing director Martin Long announced the production of 6,000 bottles of premium collectible Fundador Centenary Edition, a special Solera Reserva blend, each with a numbered certificate. The fabi launch hosted by Angel Aquino, Rod Nepomuceno, Collette Centeno and Paul Walker included a chic parade of models and the new commercial for Fundador Solera.
