The well-loved and widely-admired First Lady of the House and Congressional Spouses Foundation, Inc. (CSFI) president and chairperson Rhodora “Bebet” Nograles was recently given a tribute by the officials and employees of the House of Representatives during their annual Christmas party to celebrate Bebet’s 60th birthday. The lovely celebrator was overjoyed to see well-wishers led by her husband House Speaker Norberto “Boy” Nograles and children Miggy, Koko and Karlo. Those who wished her well included the officers and members of the CSFI, the congressmen and congresswomen, the officials and employees of the House of Representatives and officers from CSFI partner organizations/agencies like the San Miguel Corp., Office of the President, Metrobank Foundation, Chinabank and Bank of the Philippine Islands. With an overwhelming outpour of love, it was a truly unforgettable and meaningful birthday celebration for the proud wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. Happy birthday, Bebet!
A warm welcome
A warm welcome dinner hosted by Angola Consul Helen Ong recently took place in honor of the Philippine Ambassador to Pretoria, South Africa Virgilio Reyes. The intimate gathering took place at Consul Helen Ong’s posh residence in Forbes Park, which was replete with excellent food catered by Kai Restaurant. Great wine, good food and romantic music added to the warm welcome extended to the distinguished dignitary. Cheers!
Azia’s magical celebration
It was indeed a colorful party in Wonderland as Luzija Arabella “Azia” Syquia, charming daughter of Dr. Jofe and Czarina Syquia, recently celebrated her first birthday at the Main Lounge of the Manila Polo Club in Makati. Proud grandparents Consuls Louie and Mellie Ablaza were on hand to help welcome everyone to the fabulous Alice in Wonderland-themed party, which was elaborately decorated by creative genius Jun-Jun Ablaza. Beloved characters of this favorite storybook classic came alive as guests came garbed in whimsical costumes and big and silly party hats. Everyone had a great time as they took part in the magical celebration and enjoyed a bountiful feast.
