LONDON, United Kingdom — British artist Banksy's dystopian painting of a Parliament ruled by chimpanzees is shown at Sotheby's a month ahead of the Brexit deadline.
The painting will be put into auction with an estimate between 1.5 and 2 million pounds.
"There’s never been a better time to bring this painting to auction. Inevitably what we have been seeing in the houses of parliament over the last few months and weeks has become a daily soap opera, not just in the UK where we’re used to watching question time, but also across the rest of Europe and indeed the world," Alex Branczik, European head of Contemporary Art at Sotheby's said.
