Dedication and selfless service

We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to the story written by Philippine STAR reporter Perseus Echeminada (Pinoys still prefer snail mail, Philippine STAR, Nov. 20) regarding the state of delivery of Philippine mails by the Philippine Postal Corporation (Philpost).

The story was truly inspiring as it tackled the mandate of Philpost to deliver mails and parcels to and from all parts of the world and the dedication and selfless service being rendered by Philpost letter carriers just to deliver the letters to their respective destinations throughout the country.

Through the story, Philpost was able to convey to the public how it performs to deliver at least one million letters a day as Filipinos still prefer to send letters to their loved ones despite the advent of modern technology like cell phones and e-mails.
