Falcons lumakas ang tsansa sa Final 4
MANILA, Philippines — Pumapalag pa ang Adamson University, ayaw pa nilang mamaalam sa liga matapos sikwatin ang 53-41, panalo kontra National University sa UAAP Season 87 collegiate men’s basketball tournament na nilaro sa Smart Araneta Coliseum kahapon.
Masaya si Adamson head coach Nash Racela sa kanilang panalo at sa ipinakitang tikas ng kanyang mga bataan.
“Ang importante lang is buhay pa kami. That’s something we keep telling the players. Before the game, we told them about the alignment of stars. So, pumuporma pero if we don’t do our part, it will not happen. That’s the challenge we told them before the game,” ani Racela.
Nasa solo fifth place sa team standings ang Soaring Falcons, isang laro ang lamang sa kanila ng nasa No. 4 na University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers, (6-7).
Nakatakda naman magkaldagan sa Sabado ang Adamson at UST sa Filoil EcoOil Centre sa San Juan.
Kinapitan ng Soaring Falcons ang opensa ni AJ Fransman upang ilista ang 5-7 karta sa team standings.
Kumana si AJ Fransman ng career high double-double na 18 points at 11 rebounds at isang steal para sa Adamson na pinatalsik ang Bulldogs sa kompetisyon.
“Pinapanood namin yung other teams, and we were monitoring how they fight and who’s winning,” ani Fransman. “Sabi nga ni Coach Nash, the stars are aligned for us, but we just have to do our part. We can only control what we can control. We took that to heart and I’m happy that we were able to deliver.”
Namaalam na sa kontensyon ang Bulldogs ngayong season matapos malasap ang pang-siyam natalo sa 13 laro.
