Gearing up for the opening of classes

MANILA, Philippines - Employees of Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) recently joined Education Secretary Armin Luistro at the national launch of Brigada Eskwela at the Nueva Valencia National High School in the island of Guimaras. Under Brigada Eskwela, the Department of Education encourages partners from the government and the private sector to help in preparing public schools for the opening of classes to make them more conducive and safer for learning. Smart has been part of this initiative for nearly a decade as part of its employee volunteerism program and in line with its advocacy to help enhance Philippine education.
