Una sa tanan, kining gikan sa Google: “During Lent, a 40-day period of preparation for Easter, Christians are expected to engage in prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, focusing on spiritual growth, repentance, and service to others.”

Dugang pa, “During Lent, we are asked to devote ourselves to seeking the Lord in prayer and reading Scripture, to service by giving alms, and to practice self-control through fasting.

Dive into God's word in Scripture this Lent or pray the rosary with your family.”

Pray the rosary together?

Apan, nganong sa Hongkong man gayud?

Ania: matud dinhi, “Lent is a time to deepen our relationship with God through prayer, reading Scripture, and attending church services. It's a time for introspection, examining our lives and seeking God's forgiveness for our sins.

“Christians are encouraged to increase their time in prayer, whether through daily devotions, attending Mass, or participating in Lenten prayer services.

Many Christians abstain from meat on Fridays during Lent, but fasting can also involve other things like giving up sweets, social media, or excessive television viewing.

“The ultimate goal of Lent is to prepare for the celebration of Easter, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Ug unsa may significance niini? Ania:

“For Christians the resurrection of Jesus Christ is central to their faith, signifying his victory over death, confirming his divine nature, and offering hope of eternal life and forgiveness of sins.

“The resurrection validates Jesus’ claims of being the Messiah and Son of God, solidifying the belief that he is who he said he was. The resurrection is seen as the assurance that sins can b forgiven through faith in Jesus and obedience to the gospel.

“The resurrection fulfills Old Testament prophesies about the Messiah’s suffering and resurrection. It is the foundation of Christian Faith, without which, many Christians believe, the faith would be meaningless.

“Jesus appeared to many people after his resurrection, serving as a witness to the event.

The resurrection is seen as Father’s clear signal that Jesus is the powerful Son of God who has conquered death and reigns Lord of all.”

Imagine kono kon walay resurrection!
