Banat Opinyon

Oldies but goodies

SENIOR CITIZEN - Antolin dela Serna - Banat

Ulohan kini sa article gisuwat ni Alvin Santos sa Manila Times, nga matud niya, among others, “A lot of things change among friends as they turn older.” Tinuod, sa atong pagpadulong sa katigulang, daghan mahitabo nga kausaban among us and among our friends.

Pangnutana, can someone become young at heart even if they are not physically young? Mga  tubag sa Google, pinasikad sa mga comments on the issue at hand: “When you're optimistic and hopeful and looking on the bright side of life, you can stay young at heart even when you are not physically young.

“If you have kids (ug mga apo), they will keep you young. Never grow up totally, you should always keep a bit of the kid in you. Just listen to your favorite love songs every day to feel young at heart always and also exercise daily.”

Atong kutluon pag-usab  dinhi ang pulong ni George Burns: “Refuse to grow old. Be determined to fight it all the way.  Wake up happy. Stay healthy. Avoid undue stress. Spread joy. Count your blessings. Share your treasures (lisud ni). Keep up with times. Be creative. Be divine. Be well informed (beware of fake news and paid commentaries). Grow spiritually (paduol kanunay sa Ginoo, likaye ang corruption, or at least, moderate your greed of it).
