BAHALA SI TULPO - BAHALA SI TULPO Ni Ben Tulpo -
TINATRABAHO na ngayon ng aming investigative team ang isang ‘‘foundation’’ na nasa Makati, sa ilalim ng bigtime human smuggling syndicate na si ANALYN LOPEZ a.k.a. EVELYN BANAL or SUZETTE FLORES.

Nagmamakaawa raw.

Abangan…

Dear Mr. Tulfo,

We refer to your two (2) articles under your byline ‘‘Bahala si Tulfo’’ which appeared in the 27 June and 2 July 2003 issues of the Pilipino Star NGAYON publication.

Your 27 June 2003 article states that our Firm has been reported to be lawyering for a large syndicate which is involved in human smuggling in the country and which is headed by two (2) women.

Your 2 July 2003 article states that the head of the syndicate is a certain ANALYN LOPEZ, a.k.a. EVELYN BANAL or SUZETTE FLORES, who allegedly indicated that a certain Atty. Fernandez of ACCRA is her lawyer.

Our firm does not have any client by the name of Analyn Lopez, Evelyn Banal or Suzette Flores. Neither does our Firm have an Atty. Fernandez who is acting as lawyer for anyone named Analyn Lopez, Evelyn Banal or Suzette Flores.

Our firm has not provided, and does not currently provide, any legal service to any syndicate involved in human smuggling and we do not intend to do so in the future, we would be very interested to find out:

(a) who has been claiming that our Firm, or any of our lawyers, provides legal services to any such syndicate or to person you refer to as Analyn Lopez, Evelyn Banal, or Suzette Flores, and

(b) the identity of the person who may have misrepresented himself as an ACCRA lawyer.

We would appreciate your mention of our clarification of this matter in your column.

We wish you and your newspaper more power and success in your efforts at uncovering and exposing crimes and anomalies.

Sincerely,
signed
