First, about the Commemorative Logo Competition for 2026 Philippines-Japan.
According to an official announcement about this, “the year 2026 will mark the 70th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between the Republic of the Philippines and Japan.
“Series of events are being planned to commemorate this milestone as well as to deepen the existing positive relationship between the two countries under the theme of “Weaving the future together: Peace, Prosperity, Possibilities”.
“Applications for a logo design to be used for events commemorating 70 years of friendship between the Philippines and Japan are now accepted from any interested applicant.
“The competition is open to all nationals of the Philippines and Japan residing in either country, regardless of age.
“Tuesday, October 30, 2025 is the logo submission deadline.
“There is no limit to the number of entries. Submitted design proposals or materials will not be returned.
“Questions and entries can be sent to [email protected], email subject: Application for Logo for the 70th Anniversary of Philippines-Japan Friendship.
“The submitted logo designs will be reviewed by the Executive Committee of the 70th Anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Japan Commemorative Project.
“Results will be announced on the websites of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines and the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Japan) in October 2025.”

One, applications to the Japanese Government (MONBUKAGAKUSHO: MEXT) Scholarship Young Leaders’ Program (YLP) are now open.

“Interested applicants must be Filipino citizens, a Bachelor’s degree holder with excellent academic records, highly proficient in English, and under 40 years old, employed and with at least 2-5 years of work experience (varies depending on the course – Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Law, School of Government, School of Local Governance.
“All YLP applications must be coursed through the specific recommending authorities for each course. The deadline of application submissions will depend on each recommending authority.”
Two, Saturday, October 11, 2025 a FREE Japan Education Fair will be conducted on October 11, 2025 (Saturday), 10 A.M.-2 P.M. at Seda Center Ayala Cebu (Level 1), hosted by License Academy.

Successful JET Programme applicants invited to Japan as representatives of their countries will be assigned in local authorities including public or private elementary/junior high or senior high schools for at least a year.
