Private paradise lost

CHILDHOOD MEMORY. A man who grew up in Bantayan town is both happy and sad to see that a lagoon that used to be his and his friends’ own “private playground” was now developed. Happy that others will now get to experience it and sad that it is no longer exclusively theirs.

“Sa una kami ra g’yud ang maglangoy-langoy diha,” he said, “medyo kuyaw pa to sa una pero nindot g’yud siya tan-awon.”
